COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Engage ancient wisdom to understand the connections between “mysterious symptoms,” emotions, the seasons, your environment, and your relationships. When you learn to decode your body’s messages, you transform old patterns and unlock a new level of wellbeing. This training offers an accessible introduction to the magic of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Thai massage. Both modalities have been practiced for thousands of years, and are even more powerful in synergy.

We use physical practices and time in nature to experience the *feeling* of each element, so that the theory is simply a confirmation of what we already know in our bodies.

**For movement and wellness enthusiasts,** this retreat training offers a holistic system to integrate all of your practices. The material will provide profound insights into how to synergize your self care to achieve a new level of wholeness and wellbeing.

**For students with a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine,** this training offers a totally new embodied way of engaging with concepts that are normally taught in heady, academic settings. You will find a deeper understanding of 5 Element Theory by immersing yourself in each element. You will also cultivate deeper connection with your clients, through the compassion meditation of Thai massage.

**For Thai massage practitioners,** this training will teach you flows to address the meridians and their corresponding organs. 5 Element Theory empowers you to engage with clients more holistically, bringing exciting insights into how their emotions, lifestyle, and environment contribute to their physical experience in the world.

**For Massage therapists,** this training will give you a sustainable way to offer bodywork for decades to come. Thai massage is the only massage modality designed to be therapeutic for the giver as well as the receiver. 5 Element Theory empowers you to engage with clients more holistically, bringing exciting insights into how their emotions, lifestyle, and environment contribute to their physical experience in the world.

**For Yoga teachers and fitness professionals,** this training will give you invaluable insight into your clients’ holistic wellbeing. The quality of touch in your hands-on adjustments will go from functional to profoundly nurturing, making sessions with you feel like a workout, therapy, and massage all in one.

**For all students at our trainings,** you complete the training prepared to begin your journey of Five Element healing work, within yourself and with others. You walk away with concrete skills to thrive in your life, that you can share with the world.

Instruction includes discussion of treatment protocols and ethics, diagnosis, protecting your energy as a healer, and practical issues of pricing and client communication. Printed manuals and online videos are provided to support your memory.

This is an intimate, hands-on training. All students will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with the instructors.

EXAMPLE OF DAILY SCHEDULE:
9-9:15am — Review, body check-in, Element game/activity
9:15-11am — Yoga and Partner Yoga
11a-3pm — Lunch & NATURE FIELD TRIP to experience the Element of the Day
3-6pm — 2 Thai Massage Sequences and Case Study
6-7:15pm — Dinner
7:15-9:30pm — Practice Thai sequences and Close the day

INVESTMENT:
TUITION: Full 8 days-$1447 includes instruction, manual, videos, follow-up certificate program, 5 element intake form to use with clients, lifetime private Facebook group support.
Days 1&2(Sat 21st/Sun 22nd): $347 includes instruction, 2 day manual and videos. Can add housing, if desired.

CAMPING: $100 for 10 days (arriving Friday 20th - leaving Sunday 29th), Outdoor shower, access to lodge bathroom and kitchen, composting toilet and pit toilet included. NO FIRES allowed.

FLOOR SPACE: $100 for 10 days (arriving Friday 20th - leaving Sunday 29th) to sleep in the studio space. You may use our Thai mats/puzzle mats, but will need to bring your own pillow and blankets. We recommend a sleeping pad. We may be able to provide some inflatable mattresses. Let us know ahead of time if you would like one.

PRIVATE BEDROOM: There are four private bedrooms available on the property, available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Upon approval of you application, you can pay your tuition, or send a $500 nonrefundable deposit, to reserve your spot. The deposit is due June 15th. The remainder of your balance is due August 1st.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations before August 1st, 2019 receive a full refund, less the $500 deposit. No refunds, no transfers, and no credits for cancellations August 1st, 2019.
